2009-02-07 [Hedda]: It took some time to find a usable word...
2009-02-08 [Calico Tiger]: I want an eel badge! Sound dirty!
2009-02-08 [Hedda]: We just need a badge-maker loving the idea...
Otherwise I see no reason why not to start this simple and ongoing contest. I would be fun to hear what people to to Elftowners...
2009-02-08 [Chimes]: *is looking and is slightly confused* *is sure she'll get it after re-reading it a few times* XD
2009-02-09 [Linderel]: You must vote for yourself? o_O
2009-02-10 [Hedda]: Yes, I thought it would be more fun that way.
If people dare to submit something, then they should vote for it too.
2010-03-23 [wicked fae mage]: Woot for the help page ^.^;
2010-03-23 [Gypsy Mystik]: cool
2010-03-24 [Silver Moon]: I will have to feel this out.
2010-03-26 [wicked fae mage]: Thank you *bows*
2010-03-26 [Hedda]: [*Phoenix*]: That's the spirit!
Even if they don't join, then they might mention Elftown to some of their friends, and then they join. But I guess not everyone has time enough to find something that interest them here.
2010-03-26 [wicked fae mage]: Indeed, but remember that tooting your own horn is the spirit of this wiki :)
2010-03-27 [Silver Moon]: how do you actually vote?
2010-03-27 [wicked fae mage]: I put the srate vote thingie up for you Silver
2010-03-27 [Silver Moon]: thank you
2010-03-27 [wicked fae mage]: No problem
2010-03-27 [Gypsy Mystik]: Silver....that was alot ^_^
2010-03-27 [Silver Moon]: yup and that isn't everything
2010-03-27 [wicked fae mage]: It's probably the no rating thing and artistic nudity allowed here that throws a lot of parents off.
2010-03-27 [*Phoenix*]: probably. and it's not like facebook where "everyone" has a profile and parents can get feedback from other people besides their kids..
2010-03-27 [wicked fae mage]: Well they can join...
2010-03-27 [Malnu]: interesting idea... but do I gloat on myself? I'm not sure if I have enough to say about myself to make it count.
2010-06-23 [Nioniel]: Ooooooo...
2010-06-23 [wicked fae mage]: Definitely gloat and toot your own horn! Tis the spirit of the wiki!
2010-08-24 [Malnu]: I just can't find it in myself to do so. *sigh*.... Someone else would have to do it. *grin*
2010-12-20 [Skydancer]: quite an idea you have here... chuckle. :)
2010-12-20 [Eyden13]: *looks around*
2010-12-20 [wicked fae mage]: Feel free to brag. Everybody's doing it :P
2010-12-20 [Skydancer]: I take it you use a unique number in the rating tag?
2010-12-20 [wicked fae mage]: it's an srate tag and the denominator is the number of people who rated them
2010-12-24 [Eyden13]: how do you make the little rate boxes?
2010-12-25 [Eyden13]: thanks ^-^
2010-12-31 [Nekko fox]: Oh Mort, you delicious, nutritious, capricious, seditious, malicious dork, we love you.
2010-12-31 [Mortified Penguin]: If you know what's best for you, you'd better.
2010-12-31 [~*~Music Junkie~*~]: This is wicked ^^ nice idea, i am allways telling people about elftown, though they ushually never join... -.-
2011-01-11 [organicparadox]: this is a great grassroots effort. much love and success to you making have meaningful impact. i definitely try to treat every person i meet within elftown as a kindred spirit. maybe i can try to introduce ppl not in the community to join. good on ya mort
2011-02-04 [Queen of Hearts]: ET is much better than facebook. :) good luck to everyone
2011-02-05 [Mortified Penguin]: I don't think you can really compare the two, since they both serve completely different functions. Lucratively speaking though, Facebook has Elftown beat.
2011-02-05 [Queen of Hearts]: well facebook is a social networking site, it is where everyone checks up what theyre friends are up to etc. elftown is completely different and attracts a different crowd of people.
2011-02-05 [wicked fae mage]: You can compare them in certain respects, but it would be more fair to compare facebook, myyearbook and myspace since they all have the same purpose.
You can prefer facebook because it has certain things like instant chatting and Elftown doesn't. You can prefer Elftown because you hate getting invited to apps and games where other sites are mostly about apps and games.
It all depends on the criteria that you are judging.
2011-06-11 [Skydancer]: Would these be Moray Eel or Electic Eel badges, smiles, and we need more participants.
2011-06-11 [~Valkyrie~]: Well, I was going to participate...
2011-06-11 [Ravendust]: Isn't it just srate in the <> brackets? I remember not knowing how to do it and asking someone about it.
2011-06-12 [Mortified Penguin]: Yeah, just <srate> should work.
2011-06-12 [~Valkyrie~]: Hmmm... Thanks
