To remember

I remember color like glittering sun on stone
You cracked an egg of yellow and gold
I remember running free and wild
Gathering the eggs I eventually piled
I remember grandma’s house and creaking floorboard sound
Neighbors come to participate in adventures; gather round
I remember chasing ducks near the lake
While mother stood near the stove with things to bake
I remember bunnies, sweet and cradled kindly
To remind us that we grope for petty things blindly
I remember winning prizes and water balloon fights
Soaking through and laughing till’ we accrued too many mosquito bites
I remember fun and family, food and friends
Twilight snuffed the dawn and eventually ends
I remember, maybe, the things I loved to do
I remember all those Easters, young and old, I got to spend with you.

Thank you to those who participated!

2008-02-05 [Atayemi]: I feel as if you are doing all the work here.. and it makes me feel like I'm taking this place for granted. *sighs* Sorry, I'm not normally this picky or quiet. I'll add your suggested deadlines and just go from there. Like I said last time, I have a lot of college work to hand in and such, so. ><' But I really do appreciate your help.

2008-02-05 [nehirwen]: Don't worry, I love to work on this, and since other people are busy with more important -rl- stuff (like you), I like to finish what they started. :)
You can take it from here. ;)

I also appreciate what YOU've done so far!
All the intro's of the festivals is based on your intro, after all. ^__^
And you've put effort into this festival too. :)

2008-02-05 [Atayemi]: Hehe, thanks. :)

2008-02-05 [nehirwen]: *throws colored egg* :p

Thanks to your latest edit of this wiki, we can open this contest ^_^ jeeej

2008-02-05 [Atayemi]: x)
Yay! Now it's time for the public to finish off the work for us, now. :)

2008-02-06 [Triola]: real egg(not chocolate) or something oval shaped.

Why specify that you need a real egg, when you proceed to allowing anything oval shaped? :P

2008-02-06 [Atayemi]: I don't know.. ._.

2008-02-09 [nehirwen]: Perhaps it's better to remove the 'or something oval shaped' part, and stay specific eggie. :)

2008-02-19 [Mom]: I don't know if I can enter this one...the deadline is one week after the StPatty's Day Contest and that's pushing it. It does take some of us more than a day or two to work on a piece. =\

2008-02-19 [nehirwen]: All these festival contests will be open all year, and will announce winners once a year. (on the festival date itself)
You can take all the time you want. :)

2008-02-21 [Mom]: Kinda takes the festivity out of the holiday.

2008-02-21 [nehirwen]: Whenever you're in a festival mood you can make an entry and submit it. :)
This way we hope to get more people to enter.
And on the festival date itself this page will be all decorated for the holiday, with winning entries etc. :)
I hope that last part will be enough 'festivity' for you. ;)

2008-02-22 [Lady Ice]: i know that it says you can enter twice... is that twice total or like twice in photography, twice in artwork, twice in poetry....?

2008-02-22 [Atayemi]: It means that you may submit two entries for each category. :)

2008-03-15 [nehirwen]: Time to Vote! Easter Poll 2008 <img:17985_1127690355.gif>

2008-03-27 [Lady Ice]: well... I didn't realize we were voting until its already over.... congrats to the winners

2008-09-14 [FamousPanda]: is there gonna be an easter comp this year

2008-09-14 [Atayemi]: Easter has been and gone. XD Next year probably.

2008-09-14 [nehirwen]: For next year probably, I shall poke [Atayemi] some time to fix the pages for Easter 2009. :)

2008-09-14 [nehirwen]: *pokes*

...

:p

2008-09-14 [Atayemi]: Oooh, trust me I would in a heartbeat, but I'm having serious problems with a nasty virus on my laptop. :o
