2005-10-16 [moira hawthorne]: well drow can see in normal light.. but it hurts their eyes untill they adjust and switch vision from infra red to normal (to us) light refraction....

2005-10-16 [Linn Scarlett]: but as far as i know thats only possible if they are frequently exposed to light, even Driz still couldn't really bare the sunlight long, and he had been on the surface for more than a decade back then O.o

2005-10-16 [Linn Scarlett]: they could use blacklight? that does not emmit normal light

2005-10-16 [moira hawthorne]: but that sunlight... there werre candles in the underdark... stage light are normally still darker thabn sunlight... they are filtered to give colours...

2005-10-16 [Linn Scarlett]: meldor actually burns torches around his private quarters, just to keep prying eyes out (litterally!)

2005-10-17 [Metalelf]: Do you reckon drow could handle strobe lighting?

2005-10-17 [moira hawthorne]: aimed at their eyes... likely would fuck them up... aimed away... maybe... tho they wouldnt be able to see in infra red at the same time...

2005-10-17 [Metalelf]: Could be. I kinda scrapped the infra-red idea for my story anyway (I just couldn't get my little human brain around it) maybe it would just have the same effect on them as it does on us, only more extreme...*thinks about how that would work*

2005-10-17 [moira hawthorne]: well these drow are in our present yes? ... maybe they just gotten use to it... at least night lights... clubs light.. stuff like that... a bright sunny day might still irratate them...

2005-10-17 [Metalelf]: Hey, good idea! :D Neon lights and things are a lot less painful to look at than sunlight, so I guess it would work. Thanks :D

2005-10-17 [moira hawthorne]: and if you ever tryed to read the menu at a fancy restaruant.. with mood lighting... its hard... but you can see your food and partner fine... they be able to see much better than human in dimm light.. and worse than us in bright light...

2005-10-17 [Metalelf]: Mood lighting...hehe...I imagine drow bars are full of it :P

2005-10-17 [moira hawthorne]: hehehe..... and we would be like lambs to the slaughter!

2005-10-17 [Linn Scarlett]: 'mood lighting" ghehehe somehow it sounds nasty combined with drow :p

2005-10-17 [Metalelf]: I've had a couple of drow bars in my was full of crazy purple glows and the other was full of smoke and angry people.

2005-10-17 [liiga]: *managed to read that as "one was full of crazy purple cows"* Had me wondering for a moment there. XD

2005-10-17 [Metalelf]: Purple cows! *lmao* Now that's a funny image.

2005-10-17 [moira hawthorne]: I just read ... Purple cows! *lmao* Now that's a funny image.... first... and My first thought was a drow drink... like a brown cow.. with a drow twist!

2005-10-18 [Metalelf]: Hehehe. *wonders what goes into drinks to make them pueple*

2005-10-18 [moira hawthorne]: dont know... there are blue liquires... maybe one of them mixed with a red one...

2005-10-18 [Metalelf]: Could be. I had a purple drink once. It was the purplest thing I ever saw.
